Places left for University of Winchester Enterprise Lecture!

Posted: Wednesday 9th Jun 2010

Each year, the University of Winchester organises a series of ‘Enterprise Lectures’, the aim of which is to offer students, staff and members of the community the opportunity to hear first-hand from fascinating people who have been successful in their field, focussing on those who have been entrepreneurial and/or have made a real difference.

The forthcoming Enterprise Lecture will be delivered by Richard Cheetham, Lecturer in Sports Coaching and Development at the University. In March this year, Richard completed a gruelling six marathons in six days across the Atacama Desert in Chile with his team the Red Hot Chile Runners. Richard and two of his team members will be demonstrating the equipment they used, there will be an opportunity to see and even taste the food they had to eat to sustain them through the ordeal, and there will be photos of spectacular landscapes and equally spectacular blisters.

Wednesday June 16th, 18.00 for 18.30, the Stripe, University of Winchester, King Alfred Campus, Sparkford Road, Winchester SO22 4NR.

The event is free and ticketless; prior booking is essential. To book seats (maximum of four per booking), email enterprise.lectures@winchester.ac.uk or phone 01962 827578.
