Have you wished that you had a business expert all to yourself to listen to your business ideas, give advice and feedback, and answer your questions? This is your chance!

In March, the monthly FREE Wired Wessex Networking Event will be expanded! As well as the usual informal networking, you can choose to book a session with a mentor from our distinguished panel to meet with privately for 30 minutes. This is your opportunity to present your ideas and ask all of those questions about business start-up, marketing, financing, business viability, funding availability…whatever is on your mind, for FREE.

At the same time, we will have casual networking at the upstairs bar and attendees can have a free drink and mingle. Even if you choose not to meet with a Mentor, you’re still welcome to come and network at the bar between 6:00 – 9:00 pm. Registration is required for both options.

We know that this will be a very popular event and so have devised THE RULES:

1. Participants MUST sign up with Wired Wessex for a time slot and receive a CONFIRMATION EMAIL to be guaranteed a spot.
2. Participants should come prepared with their questions, ideas, supporting paperwork, etc.
3. Participants must arrive 15 minutes prior to their session.
4. We will hold to a STRICT SCHEDULE. If you are late for your time slot, you will have less time with your Mentor.
5. Priority will be given to Wired Wessex members when signing up for time slots until Friday, February 12th. After this date, registration is open to non-members. It is FREE to join Wired Wessex via our website www.wiredwessex.com
6. If you would like to meet with more than one Mentor, please indicate this on your registration form. Second choices will be your second appointment IF there are still spots available on Monday, March 8th. Second appointments are not confirmed unless they are stated on your confirmation email.

Jane Buswell of Business Fulcrum
Areas of expertise: Marketing and Business Development
Since 2003, Jane Buswell has supported over 250 businesses via her marketing services and through various workshops. As Hampshire’s Business Mum, Jane has mentored many and varied entrepreneurs including start up students funded by Winchester University. She is also a regular columnist for the Start your Own Business newspaper. She has provided presentations for many organisations and additionally for The Womens Networking Company; InBiz; Business Link; Wired Wessex; Enham; Gosport Voluntary Action and Portsmouth Technopole.

Matthew Carey and Kirstie Loveridge of Handover HR
Areas of expertise: HR Recruitment, Regulation, Rewards, and Retention. He can offer advice on anything HR related from the very beginnings through to the very end of employment.
Handover HR is a team of HR experts based in Hampshire specialising in the provision of bespoke HR solutions tailored to the needs of your business allowing you to ‘Do Business, Not HR.’ Handover HR can provide support for one off projects, such as recruitment or redundancy, or on an ongoing basis as a fully outsourced HR department. “Our aim is to simplify employment legislation, working with businesses to ensure that they meet the minimum statutory UK requirements relating to the employment of staff.”

Those that select Matthew and Kirstie have the option of completing a brief HR Audit form to clarify their thoughts before the session. This will be sent with the confirmation of a spot. Kirstie is one of the directors at Handover and has over 10 years HR experience alongside a post graduate diploma, and is a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD).

Peter Czapp of the WOW Company
Areas of expertise: Profit Improvement Sessions
Peter will help you determine ways in which you can increase profit……. immediately. You will leave with 2-3 simple ideas that you can implement in your businesses to increase profit right away. Those that select Peter have the option of completing a Preparation form to clarify your thoughts for the session, but it is entirely optional. This will be sent with the confirmation of a spot.

Garry Lane of OneVision Life Coaching
Areas of expertise: careers management, work/life balance, establishing and meeting goals and objectives, relationships, dealing with conflicts, stress, developing confidence
Garry is a fully qualified HR Manager to the level of FCIPD. He is a certified Life Coach and an Associate Member of the Association for Coaching. HR Manager for Yell(Yellow Pages) for 22 years until last May when he retired and set up his Life Coaching practice. With One Vision Life Coaching he works with small businesses who do not have an HR Department but still have a coaching requirement, and personal Life Coaching. Those that select Garry will be sent a short list of questions to clarify their goals for the session.

Marlene Roche of HMRC Inland Revenue
Areas of expertise: Income Tax, Import/Export, National Insurance
Marlene Roche of the HMRC is here to answer all of your tax questions! She has been a business advisor since 1999 for HMRC and deals with national insurance, income tax and international trade.

Tony Treacy of eConsultants.IT Ltd
Areas of expertise: Search Engine Optimisation, Social Media Marketing, helping your site to be found by search engines, showing you how to drive traffic to your site and converting that traffic to meet your objectives.
Tony is an Enterprise Hub Network Mentor within the SEEDA Region and has mentored many successful entrepreneurs through the Pre-Startup, Startup and launch phases of their online businesses. As the Managing Partner of eConsultants.it Limited, he helps businesses increase their search engine rankings by using content optimization, link building, social networking and conversion strategies, which ultimately boost online traffic and sales. Those that meet with Tony will be asked to answer a few questions about their goals for the session to be sent back to Tony before the event. This form will be sent upon confirmation of a spot.
